There is much being written about a global shortage of Champagne, and while much of this is scaremongering, there does certainly seem to be a squeeze on supply at the moment.
We are therefore pleased to say that we have just taken delivery of two lovely parcels from the brilliant 2012 vintage, which should hopefully help sate your thirst.
These are two contrasting styles, the Delamotte (94+/100, William Kelley, robertparker.com) is a Blanc de Blanc which has beautiful elegance and refined style, and looks like exceptional value considering it’s from the same ‘stable’ as the fabled Salon. At £290 per 6bt case, this is also the cheapest price in the market for a wine which has increased by 25% since release. Bollinger Grande Année (95/100, William Kelley, robertparker.com) will be well known to many of you, a powerful pinot driven Champagne which retains a lovely freshness. This looks an even more attractive buy given there is no 2013 Grande Année to be released.
Both these wines are delicious to drink now, but will also reward cellaring for those who can wait. The wines can be ordered directly online or by contacting your account manger. Please see our offer below.
