The talented Sabine Mollard has been in charge at Domaine Marc Morey since taking over from her father in 2003. Sabine has grown significantly in confidence over the years and now producers a fabulous range of wines from the Domaine's holdings. The vineyard total 9.5 ha and spans 13 different appellations from St Aubin to Bâtard-Montrachet, with a smattering of Bourgogne Aligoté in there too. There are village-level Chassagne-Montrachets in red and white, and five different Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Crus, as well as one parcel in Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles. The winery’s flagship is the 2.1ha (almost) monopole of Chassagne Montrachet 1er cru En Virondot. Sabine takes her inspiration from the likes of Jean-Marc Roulot and Domaine Lamy. Local superstars, the Ramonet family, are ardent supporters. The wines express a lovely concentration but have a distinct minerality which helps retain balance.
