Based in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet, this mother and son partnership has really started gaining a following over the past year or so. Jacqueline Collardot has been running the estate since 2015, with her son Matthieu joining in 2018. At 2.5 hectares, this is a small, exciting “Micro-Domaine” which is steadily growing in size and stature. We believe it is one to watch.
Jacqueline inherited her vineyards in 2010 from her father, Pierre Thomas, who made the wines until 1992. The vineyards, however, originate three generations earlier from the Henry Chavy estate, and from vines Maurice Thomas brought into his marriage. Freshness is key to their wines, which is achieved by early harvesting and very careful and deliberate winemaking techniques. Jacqueline is a passionate advocate for sustainable winemaking and ensures that all work is done by hand or horse.
