A deep and generous nose of black cherry and dark berry scents, with undertones of liquorice and black pepper. The palate is rich and well defined with a silky mouthfeel. Lots of sweet, dark fruit blends with floral, spicy notes. The tannins are well placed and the finish is fresh and lively.
A textbook Côtes du Rhône with instant appeal. The nose is classic with plenty of upfront sweet, dark fruit, smoked meat, violets and spice. The palate is medium bodied, with plenty of stuffing and structure. Silky tannins and a lively finish make this punch above its weight.
The 2013 Juliénas la Bottière was cropped at 30 hectoliters per hectare, whole bunch pressed with three week`s of maceration. It has more intensity on the nose than the 2014, more fruit – mulberry and red plum, with gravel and sandy scents loitering just behind.
Bright, ripe raspberry coulis and myrtille on the nose. Complete on the palette with lift, fine tannin, and tension. Really lovely and stylish. Latimer Vintners
Very open and alluring with juicy, vivid red cherry and strawberry fruit, rose petals and a touch of burnt orange zest. Fine, ripe, tannins with some liquorice and tar, sapid on the finish. Drink 2023-2032. LV

Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2012 tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Chevalier Montrachet la Cabotte Grand Cru from Bouchard Père & Fils has a slightly more exotic bouquet within this flight with touches of white chocolate and almond originating from the more generous and conspicuous use of new oak.
The 2013 Le Montrachet Grand Cru has a very reserved bouquet, a light marine influence coming through with aeration of shucked oyster shells and a smidgen of orange rind.
